Visit Egham

In collaboration with Egham Town Team, the Egham Museum developed the Visit Egham website in an effort to encourage tourism to Egham and provide a hub for the local community to advertise events. The website is packed with information about the local area, ensuring that organising a trip to Egham or learning about events as a resident is straightforward.

We ensured, when creating the website, that it is easily accessible for everyone, including those unaccustomed to using the internet. To do this, we provide detailed information about the local area and its amenities, including information about hotels, restaurants, and local tourist attractions such as the Magna Carta monument. Alongside detailed descriptions of hotels and restaurants, we provide high-quality photographs of each location to make sure that every person who uses our website is well-informed and knowledgeable enough to make the most of their visit.

The branding of the website is coherent and independent from each group’s logo, ensuring that the website is clear, and each business and group is easily recognisable and distinct. We also utilise maps to give people easily accessible and navigable information about where everything is situated, and provide links to allow potential tourists to book trains, hotels and events easily.

For a limited time, thanks to additional funding, the museum was able to support a Marketing Officer to promote local events and the website itself.
